Hey!
My name is Anissa Jo. I am the oldest child in my family. Since I just created this Blog you have no clue about my family or myself. So I will start with this....
I have two younger siblings, Mikala who is 10 and Kobe who is 6. I have 2 wonderful parents, Nick and Lizz. I love my family dearly. Okay now i will start with everything we have done since 2008. February 16th it was Kobe's 6th Birthday. At the end of June we entered the Make A Wish foundation to let Kobe make a wish. You are probably wondering whats wrong with him RIGHT? Well when he was 6 months old he was diagnosed with CGD (Chronic granulomatous disease.) Here is a link to find out more about this disease http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_granulomatous_disease. Okay now back to everything... Kobe wished to go to Disney World!!!! Of course he got his wish! We had a 7 day trip to all 4 parks plus Sea World, and Universal Studios! We stayed in the amazing Animal Kingdom Lodge. We overlooked all of these different Safari animals. We had an AMAZING time! On September 11th Kobe had a Bone marrow Transplant. It is supposed to cure his disease. With this Disease he cant do many things like other kids his age can do like play in the mud, or not have to wear a mask when its windy. He has been released from the hospital and is staying in the Ronald McDonald House Apartments. On day +87 my parents were told that he rejected the bone marrow. A few days before day +100 my parents told my brother, sister and me that he had rejected. We all cried. We have been through a really tough time with everything. He is now going to have another Transplant. The doctors said that he wont have a transplant for about 6 months because there is no rush. He is without an Immune system. He now has to wear a mask every where he goes.
The other night he wasn't feeling to well. He was throwing up and he had hives. My mom had him get into the tub to take a bath when he noticed his central line was leaking. My parents took him into Primary Childrens' Medical Center (Salt Lake City) at 2 am. He is doing better now. Please Pray for him to do better this next Bone Marrow Transplant.
I can't believe how grown up you are! You have done a great job with your blog! I want you to know that I think you are an amazing big sister.Your bravery and strength help Nikki and Kobe every day! They have a great example! I hope to see you the next time you come into town, keep your chin up.
